Week 1
I have read the rant about basic electricity, DC power supplies, introduction of different components and the two readings rants.
I also the attachment rant about smell in the e-mail that was sent by teacher.
I learn a basic concept about these basic knowledge, and I also learn a lot of new English vocabularies and so no.
The point of view in the Bret Victor, A Brief Rant on the Future of Interaction Design inspires me a lot, human capability is the thing that I really ignored before.
WEEK 2
In the third picture is my understanding adout the components structure of processor after I had read the rant.
I hope teacher can take a look and give me some error correction.
This is the vedio of practicing digital output and input.
WEEK3
As shown in the third video, during my experiments, I noticed that sometimes the serial port wouldn't display the correct signal values. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting, but couldn't find the cause.
Finally, I discovered that the correct signal was indeed being generated, as shown on the oscilloscope. However, the serial port was unable to display it correctly.
WEEK4
Honestly, I don't really understand what the analog signal threshold is used for.
WEEK5
The tutorial was very clear and easy to follow. I feel like I've largely grasped the principles and operation of the two motors, as well as the H-bridge circuit control. I also have a basic understanding of the principles of transistors and relays.
Reading the tutorial before doing the lab was incredibly helpful; it felt great to learn first and then apply. After reading the tutorial, I completed Labs 1 and 2 in just about 15 minutes, which was incredibly quick.
I'm very happy; I've truly learned a lot, which is a great feeling.
WEEK6 MIDTERM
WEEK7
I tried for a long time, but p5js kept giving me an error saying that ellipse received a null value. Later I found out the problem: a serial port can only connect to one device at a time, and my serial port was occupied by Arduino. The serial port symbol on the website tab is very cute.
WEEK8
This week I completed the two-way communication experiment. I really hope the teacher can explain the code in the lab during class. My main difficulties are:
1. I am very unfamiliar with the syntax and logic of using WebSerial, so although I can understand the code (logically), I am completely unable to write and debug it independently.
2. I have problems with the sending and receiving logic of asynchronous communication. My current issue is that I don't really understand how data is sent and received, especially in two-way communication. I don't understand where the data is stored, how it is sent to the other party, or where the other party retrieves it. I feel confused.
3. I basically don't understand the triggering part of asynchronous two-way communication... I feel like my brain has completely shut down.
Therefore, I hope the teacher can explain these things again, starting from the very basics, because I am truly lost.
WEEK9
WEEK10
I'm really curious about how to encode my video onto an OLED screen, and I hope the teacher can explain the principles in detail. I find this part very interesting!
